Child and maternal mortality decrease

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, May 28:  Nepal has successfully decreased child and maternal mortality.

Presenting an annual estimate of income and expenditure for the upcoming fiscal year of 2081/82 BS (2024/25) at the joint meeting of the federal parliamentary, Finance Minister Barsha Man Pun said that the child mortality death rate per thousand has decreased from 98 to 21.

The death of children below 5 years has decreased from 61 to 33 and the maternal mortality at birth has gone down from 2281 in the previous fiscal year to 1191.
