DSA Star concludes awarding children in various categories

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, May 8: The 13th edition of ‘DSA Star’ concluded here on Monday by awarding children in various categories. 

Organised by Pariwartan Event House, Prinsa Gurung emerged as the winner with Alice Karki and Jasmin Tamang becoming the first and second runners-up respectively under the ‘Mini Dancing Star’ category. 

Likewise, Upasana Lamsal won the title of ‘Junior Dancing Star’, with Richchen Sherpa, Aditi Bhattarai, and Dawa Scott Tamang becoming the first, second, and third runners-up.

Similarly, Izabela Tamang was crowned ‘Junior Singing Star’ while Anshu Karki secured first place, Chris Gurung second, and Supreme Sundar third place. 

Lasang Ghising was the winner of ‘Pre-Teen Dancing Star’, followed by Vivek Pokharel in first place, Krisha Bogati in second, and Shyam Bhattarai in the third place.

 Pragya Karki won the title of ‘Pre-Teen Singing Star,’ and Sonam Sherpa secured the first position and  Adarsh Neupane and Younis Gurung second and third positions respectively.

Simon Basnet became  ‘Acting Star’, with Siddharth Pokharel, Binisa Bhujel and Baibhav Mukhiya becoming the first, second, and third winners respectively.

 Soniya GR, CEO of Pariwartan Event House, said that the winners would be invited to participate in the international competition scheduled to be held in Georgia in 2025 on behalf of Nepal.

 She emphasised that the competition was held to create a suitable environment for children to showcase their talents and develop their competitive abilities nationally and internationally.

The judging panel comprised Bright Future Kindergarten School principal Mohit Karki, international sportsperson and artist Nanda Basyal and one-legged dancer Roma Neupane.

 The programme was chaired by Budhanilkantha Municipality’s Mayor Mitharam Adhikari.

One hundred children received training at Apex Life School for 25 days before the finals. 

Singer Yash Kumar was honoured with the ‘National Shrastha Samman 2081’, Roma Neupane received the ‘National Kala Samman’, and DJ Nawang was awarded the ‘DJ of the Year Award’.
