By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Apr. 27: ‘Paisako Udan’, a fiction work by Rabindra Sameer has been published recently.

Known for his excellence in short stories, Sameer has ventured into experimental novels, including ‘Mritu Ko Aayu’ and ‘Coronatantra’, similar in style to ‘Paisako Udan’.

It is also a novel written in a short story style.

The novel centers on Kuber, an unimaginably wealthy leader afflicted with a mental disorder. His desire is to purchase intangible elements like happiness, respect, hunger, sleep, emotions, smiles and tears.

The ideal life of Sudama, who once engaged in politics together with Kuber, is interwoven into every story of the novel.

In ‘Paisako Udan’, the importance as well as the limitations of money are portrayed poignantly.

It also delves into the potential impact of the development of science, technology, and artificial intelligence on human civilisation.

The novel subtly reveals that money, far from being just a necessity, has transformed into a passion, leading individuals to become enslaved by its allure.

With 56 chapters revolving around the main characters Kuber and Sudama, this novel differs in its perspective on how money affects life.

Published by Shikha Books, the book is priced Rs. 325.

Sameer has published 14 literary works, including ‘Arjuna Drishti’,  ‘Ishworka Katha’,  ‘Anu and Pahad’,  ‘Great Wallko Great Anubhuti,' ‘Bukampama Malhampatti’,  ‘Ekalvya Dristi’,  ‘Mritu Ko Aayu’ and ‘Coronatantra.’

Sameer has been honoured with three dozen national and international awards, including the Yuwa Barsha Moti Award, Uttam Peace Award, Padma Shri Award, ANESAS Award and Nepal Vidya Bhushan.
