Nepal's luxury tours target US, European markets

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Apr. 3: A stellar influencer marketing campaign has been initiated to spotlight Nepal's upscale tourist spots targeting the American and European tourism markets. This campaign involves exploring various high-end tourist destinations in Nepal through influencers from different countries.

In collaboration with the Nepal Tourism Board and USAID Nepal, a stellar influencer marketing campaign was organised in Nepal from March 23 to April 2, said a press statement issued by the Nepal Tourism Board on Tuesday. Influencers from countries such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Norway, and India participated in this excursion.

Under this campaign, influencers participated in various tourist destinations and activities across Nepal, ranging from eastern to western regions of the country. In the first phase, they participated in the heritage walk in the heritage areas of the Kathmandu Valley, and they participated in the Holi (festival of colours) in Basantapur as well as experienced the festival in Bhaktapur.

In the second phase, they visited Ilam, a mid-hill tourist destination in the Koshi Province of Nepal. They explored the tea tourism aspect, learning about the various methods of producing different types of tea produced in Nepal, the statement said.

Likewise, they visited a local cheese factory and sampled various authentic dishes prepared at a homestay. They also took part in various adventure tourism activities in Pokhara and Kusma in Parbat, experiencing wildlife and nature-based tourism in Bardiya and other parts of Nepal.

The participants responded that Nepal's historical heritage, local food, different cultures and natural beauty are unique in the world.

The influencers who have been posting their experiences through their social media accounts have highlighted Nepal's natural beauty, vibrant culture, and modern amenities available in tourist destinations. They have also emphasised 

the extensive potential for high-end tourism in Nepal due to its natural beauty, cultural heritage, and evolving tourism infrastructure, the statement said.
