Cyber awareness needed to prevent online violence: Minister Sharma

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Feb 29: Minister for Communication and Information Technology Rekha Sharma has said that cyber awareness should be expanded to stop the incidents of online violence. 

Addressing the interaction programme 'Women Security in Online' organised by the National Women's Commission on the occasion of International Women's Labor Day, Minister Sharma said that a wide cyber awareness campaign should be launched to prevent every type of online violence.

"As we manage the materialistic world by maintaining human value and social harmony, in the same way, human value and social harmony should be managed in the virtual world too," Minister Sharma said, adding, "For which wide cyber awareness and security programmes should be expanded down to the local level."
