WUMA Kung Fu judge Sanjeet feted

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Dec. 18: Sanjeet Kumar Rai, an international judge of WUMA Kung Fu, has been honoured in Texas, USA. The Kirat Rai Society, America, feted Sanjeet during the Paruhang Evening-2 event for his contribution towards enhancing the reputation of Nepal and the Kirat Rai community through sports. 

Dennis Webb, the Deputy Mayor of the City of Irving, Khagendra Rai, the President of Kirat Rai Society, and Dilip Rai, the President of Kirat Rai Society, Texas Chapter, felicititated Sanjeet during the function.

Veteran WUMA Kung Fu player Sanjeet is a two-time national champion and a gold medalist at the WMAC WUMA World Championship held in Slovenia. He has also served as a judge in various national and international competitions. Currently, Sanjeet is in the US to compete in the Battle of the Dragon Championship and judge the tournament. He is also the senior vice president of the Nepal WUMA Kung Fu Association.

Expressing his gratitude, Sanjeet thanked the Kirat Rai Society for the honour and stated that it had inspired him to be more active in sports.
