Super Seeder machine reducing cost and labour

By Our Correspondent,Inaruwa, Dec. 22:New technology has been used to sow wheat seeds in Gadhi Rural Municipality and Dewanganj Rural Municipality in Sunsari.

After the Super Seeder machine arrived in the village, it has helped mechanise wheat farming. 

The farmers said the machine made farming easier and cheaper. The Super Seeder machine is expected to reduce cost and increase production by 25 per cent.

Under the wheat crop promotion programme supported by Nepal Agricultural Research Council and Agriculture Knowledge Centre, Sunsari, wheat has been planted in 10 kattha of land by using the machine in Chittaha of Gadhi Rural Municipality-4 in Sunsari,

On the occasion, member of Koshi Provincial Assembly Ramdev Yadav said that it was necessary to bring this technology within the reach of all farmers.

Neel Kamal Singh, Chief of Agriculture Knowledge Centre, said that the wheat planting programme has been done in 10 kattha of land by using a Super Seeder machine in Dewanganj Rural Municipality-4 Kaptanganj.

According to Singh, NL 971 varieties of wheat have been planted in the 10 kattha of land of local farmer Ramdev Mehta.

With this technology, it is easy to sow, apply fertiliser, plough and thresh at the same time, saving time and labour.

In the programme held in Dewanganj Rural Municipality-4 Kaptangunj, Chairman of Municipality Bechan Prasad Mehta said that the farmers have been benefited from the technology.
