Fire breaks out near Ilam Hospital, efforts on to put out

By Kokila Dhakal, Ilam, Dec. 12: The kitchen adjacent to the quarter of the Ilam district hospital has caught fire. 

The hospital is located on the upper side from the District Health Office. 

After observing smoke coming over from the kitchen around 2 PM on Wednesday, people rushed to look over that and found that the hospital’s kitchen had caught fire. No one was at the kitchen at the time of the incident. 

Soon after the fire breakout, the fire brigade was asked by Ilam Municipality but the fire is yet to be taken into control for the road was too narrow for the fire brigade to pass through. 

Armed Police Force, Nepal Police, and locals are trying to put out the fire. 

Locals said that they had heard the blast of five cylinders amid the fire. 

A team of police has made a prediction that fire has burned the objects in the kitchen.  No human causalities have been recorded from the fire.  It is said that patients from the maternity ward were shifted to the emergency ward after the fire. 

The fire had not come under control at the time of preparation of this news.
