Kandel, Kawasoti,
Nov. 27: Nepali Congress (NC) president and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba
has said that the republic has no alternative.
He vowed monarchy
will not come back.
"It is
pointless to protest against the republican system. There is no chance of reverting
to the past and the republic will not change," said president Deuba addressing
the first district convention of Nawalpur of his party.
"Monarchy
will not come back as it was abolished by the Constituent Assembly. We all should
come together to institutionalize and strengthen the democratic republican
system," said the NC president.
Speaking on
the occasion, Chief Minister of Gandaki Province, Surendra Pande, also NC leader,
viewed that NC should attend to solving the problem of political liquidity.
The CM said
that he would take special initiative for opening the Triveni border crossing
for trade by completing the road construction from Dumkibas to Triveni within
his tenure.
