Steps should be taken to stop theft, smuggling of wildlife: VP Yadav

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Nov. 25: Vice President Ramsahaya Prasad Yadav said that the increment in theft and smuggling of Rhinos and tigers is a matter of sadness. 

Addressing the 49th establish Day and 29th General Convention of Nepal Foresters' Association (NFA) on Saturday VP Yadav expressed grief over the increment of rhino and tiger theft and smuggling incidents.

"For the sustainable solution of human-wildlife conflict study, research and rapid management is needed as conflict incidents create negative effects on people about wildlife and forest." VP said further, "It is a matter of sadness as the incidents of rhino and tiger theft and smuggling increase. The government and Foresters should take necessary steps to stop theft and smuggling of wildlife."
