By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Nov 20: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has said that efforts are being made to establish a medical education system as the centre of attraction for those who want to study medical education in Nepal.
Addressing the 12th meeting of the Government of Nepal Medical Education Commission held at the Prime Minister's official residence in Baluwatar on Monday, the PM said that there is a direct relationship between the production of skilled medical manpower and employment opportunities in line with the number of qualified students wanting to study medicine and the delivery in the health service system.
The PM said, "It is time to upgrade the delivery of health
service by giving employment opportunities to medical personnel and increasing
opportunities to study medical education on the basis of anticipation of the need for
medical professionals in the sector. Along with this, it is mandatory to follow
the basic guidelines on teaching and learning along with producing skilled
manpower."
Likewise, the production of skilled medical manpower should be based on the reports prepared by the Nepal Medical Education Commission and facts rather than fake news as such fake news impacts service delivery of the organization, students and guardians on the formation of the rules and regulations.
