Jajarkot earthquake destroys 16,570 houses in Rukum Pashchim

By Raju Lamichhane, Rukum Pashchim, Nov 6: A huge physical infrastructure destruction along with the death of 52 people has been reported in Rukum Pashchim district due to the Jajarkot earthquake of last Friday. 

As per the preliminary report presented in a meeting of the District Disaster Management Committee on Monday, it has been reported that 16,570 houses have been destroyed across 6 local levels.

Chief District Officer and Chair of the District Disaster Management Committee Hari Prasad Panta said that the number of destroyed houses could increase as the details were still being collected.
