Muglin (Chitwan), Oct 21 : A basic
hospital with the capacity of 15 beds has been brought into operation in
Kurintar of Ichchhakamana Rural Municipality-4, Chitwan.
The rural municipality brought this
hospital into operation after upgrading the then Darechowk Health Post
there.
Health Minister of Bagmati Province
Uttam Joshi marked the beginning of the services from the hospital on Friday
and stated that the hospital should be developed as a trauma centre since it is
close to the country's busiest highway, Prithvi Highway.
The people from Chitwan, Tanahun,
Gorkha and Dhading would get direct benefit from the services of this
hospital.
Likewise, the building for the
hospital is under construction at Kurintar bazaar with the federal government's
Rs 130 million in assistance, the rural municipality's chairman Dan Bahadur
Gurung said.
Gurung said that hospital's
services would be further expanded after the completion of the building
construction.
Currently, two medical doctors and
13 other health workers are providing health care services. (RSS):
