Nepal into second round of world cup football
Kathmandu, Oct 18: The Nepali
football team has entered the second round of FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifier by
defeating Laos.
Nepal beat Laos 1-0 in the recently
held match at a national stadium of Laos.
Manish Dangi made a decisive goal
to put Nepal to victory. The goal he made at the 53st second of the match was
decisive. Manish netted the goal with assist pass from Anjan Bista.
Nepal and Laos played 1-1 draw in
the first round held in Nepal. With this Nepal would compete with the UAE,
Bahrain and Yemen of group 'H' under the second round of the world cup.
