Literary figure Bhattarai's 'Thantiko Gham' released

Fungling (Taplejung), Oct 16: 'Thantiko Gham ' – a novel by literary writer Tanka Bahadur Bhattarai has been released. 

   
At a programme organized in Taplejung district headquarters, Fungling, on Sunday on the occasion of the Ghatasthapana, the first day of Dashain, the novel was released.

   
Chief District Officer Goma Devi Chemjong, District Coordination Committee chief Tshering Lama, Fungling municipality's mayor Amir Maden, deputy mayor Bhimadevi Ojha, Pathivara Yangwarak rural municipality chairperson Keshar Kumar Mengmbo and Meringden rural municipality chair Yuk Han Bir Hangam, among others jointly released the book.     

On the occasion, they suggested literary writer Bhattarai to keep on writing in coming days as well.    

Bhattarai, who is currently the Assistant Chief District Officer of Taplejung, already has 'Sanjhma Parilo Tara 2068 (a compilation of poetry) and 'Ma Pani Bagdaichhu Sapsu 2073 (a collection of short fiction) to his literary credit.    

The 245-page novel 'Thantiko Gham' has presented social life in a live and succinct manner in 53 sections.    

Novel writer Bhatatrai said, "The plot and characters of the novel are from my own village surrounding. The novel has been tailored keeping social realities in the centre". (RSS)
