By Our Correspondent,Biratnagar, Sept. 12: Prime Minister and Chairman of CPN (Maoist Center), Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda,' has expressed a strong commitment to addressing the future prospects of millions of young Nepali workers employed overseas.
He made such remarks while addressing the provincial-level message meeting of Socialist Front Nepal in Biratnagar on Monday.
Prime Minister Prachanda said, "The issues raised by the leaders of the front in this meeting and the support and dedication they have shown to the government are significant. They have revitalized my determination."
"This time, I aim to bring about meaningful change through concrete actions, not mere words. The government's efforts to address people's problems reflect our genuine commitment," he added. Stating that there is a growing sense of enthusiasm in the country, he said it has heightened people's trust and rekindled hope for positive developments within the nation.
“It will dispel hopelessness and contribute to laying the foundation for socialism," he said. He further said currently, the government’s utmost priority and concern lie with the millions of Nepali youths residing abroad.
"The country’s progress, growth, and transformation are unattainable without contemplating their future. Therefore, this time, I am dedicated to safeguarding their well-being, dignity, and self-esteem, and also to fostering job opportunities within our country," he elaborated. He also informed that the government has initiated the process of enrolling hundreds of thousands of youth living abroad into the social security fund.
In just a few months, the government aims to include 2.5 million Nepali youths living abroad in this programme," affirmed the Prime Minister.
"The youth aspire to make a difference within our nation, and it is the duty of the state to facilitate an environment for them to do so," he said.
Regarding the naming of Koshi Province, the Prime Minister said that the dispute can and should be settled through dialogue. He also added that certain individuals are seeking opportunities to undermine social harmony and reverse the achievement by inciting ethnic conflicts.
"We need to proceed with caution. By uniting millions of people in favour of progress, we can effectively halt the regressive trend," he asserted.
CPN (Unified Socialist) chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal, Janata Samajwadi Party-Nepal chairman Upendra Yadav, general secretary of Nepal Communist Party Netra Bikram Chand ‘Biplav’ and others also addressed the message meeting.
