Pathao starts free food delivery

By A Staff Reporter, Kathmandu, Sept. 3: Pathao Nepal, a ride-sharing service provider, has started free food delivery. Shashank Shamsher Thapa, the company's spokesperson, said that Pathao has started free delivery of all food orders from 9 AM to 12 midnight with the slogan ‘Restaurant prices at home’ from Friday, September 1. 

Pathao Nepal is celebrating its fifth anniversary on September 24. Targeting its anniversary, the company has announced a free delivery scheme, Thapa said. 

The company plans to announce various other plans and concessions throughout this month.

Pathao Food, which has been delivering food from 9 AM to 3 PM, will charge Rs. 150 for food delivery for the next three hours, from 12 midnight to 3:00 PM. 

It is providing service from more than 600 restaurants, informed the company. 

In June this year, the company had organised a food fest in which it had set a new record in food delivery by delivering more than 150,000 orders. Thapa informed that the daily orders increased after the food fest.

Pathao started a bike ride-sharing service in Nepal on September 24, 2018, and a car light (taxi) service on August 9, 2019. 

In September 2020, Pathao launched a home delivery service for hotel and restaurant meals and snacks.
