By Phadindra Adhikari,Lekhnath, Aug. 28:‘Sambodhika’ a book by Dr. Ishwar Mani Adhikari was launched at a programme organised in Pokhara on Saturday.
The book was launched by prominent literary figures, including Sarubhakta, Tirtha Shrestha, Hari Devi Koirala, and others.
This is Dr. Adhikari's third book. It comprises 111 muktaks in total. During the programme, Sarubhakta stressed the importance of preserving the traditional style of muktak composition which is rooted in Sanskrit rather than foreign techniques.
Tirtha Shrestha, a prominent literary figure, suggested focusing on the emotional core of muktak rather than following its rigid structure. He claimed that muktaks may contain two, four, or even seven lines.
Reviewer Sanjeeb Poudel highlighted that around half of the muktaks in the collection portray selfless love, while the remaining are related to political unrest and life's ups and downs.
Dr. Adhikari said that he had shown everything in the book, which he wanted to express. "I welcome feedback from reviewers and readers. I promise to refine my creation in accordance with my readers, well-wishers and critics," He said.
Upendra Poudel, President of Pokhareli Youth Cultural Family, that organised the ceremony, announced the resumption of the muktak recitation ceremony in 2080.
Hari Devi Koirala, Jivansagar Bhandari, Deepak Sameep, Pranjwal, Rita Adhikari Ritu, and Dr. Chaitanya Adhikari also addressed event.
