By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Aug. 25: CPN (Maoist
Center) deputy general secretary and former finance minister Janardan Sharma
has viewed that the people have been infused with hopes by government's good
works.
Sharma said so at a programme organized at Ichchhuk
cultural academy on Friday.
He said that the people supported the government
actions to solve problems related to loan shark, gold smuggling, Lalita land
scam and other corruption related cases.
"There is need to own the government's
important achievement and establish them among the people," he said.
Sharma recalled that the Prachanda led government
had in the past done away with load-shedding, but there was problem on the part
of Maoist cadres to make people aware about the achievement of the Maoist led
government.
"Prachanda led government in the past made the
country power outage free by removing the 18-hour long load-shedding, but we
did not make much publicity about it thinking the people know it. However, we
should claim our achievement as others might claim it," Sharma said.
The Maoist Center's deputy general secretary urged
his party cadres to go to the people with the real achievements made by the
current government in issues such as social justice and controlling criminal
activities.
He said the 3-month transformation campaign of the Maoist
Center will be focused on visiting people's door with the government
achievement and collecting their grievances related to the government and the
party.
