Writers meet TNA officials

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Aug. 22:Yubraj Nayaghare and officials from the Luma Educational Project met with representatives of the Thai Nepali Association (TNA)  on Sunday. 

The meeting was attended by President of TNA Wadsana Rai, Patron Kumar Karki, and other notables including Sambot Rai, Deepak Parajuli, Raj Karmacharya, Ganesh Karki, Bhim Prasad Pandey, Amara Rai, Chandra Lamichhane 

and Som Bhushal.

In the meeting, Nayaghare also presented his latest book ‘Tanakkha’ to the Association officials. He shared that this book documented the language, literature, culture, lifestyle, and history of the Nepali community living in Myanmar. 

On the occasion, Khushi Karki, winner of the reality show ‘Mero Dance Universe’, and Shankar Ghimire from the Swalamban family, among others, spoke about the significant role the Thai-Myanmar society had played in promoting Nepali language, literature, culture and art in the region.

Representing Luma, educational activist Nandalal Bhandari, engineer Kabindra Manandhar and others discussed the development of educational materials and how they could be used. They highlighted the innovative approach of the Luma system, which allows students to read, learn and gain knowledge electronically, eliminating the need for physical books.

Officials from the TNA expressed their pleasure at acquiring new insights into Nepali literature, culture, and education.

 All attendees agreed that such meetings and collaborations are crucial for preserving their cultural identity and authenticity. A team from Thailand also recently came as the audience for the reality shows ‘Mero Dance Universe’ and ‘Mero Voice Universe’, hosted by the Intra Foundation.
