Pashupati Prasad 2 and Ek Bhagavad Gita unveil posters

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Aug. 19: 'Pashupati Prasad 2: Bhasme Don' unveiled its poster on Friday. Featuring Bipin Karki as the eponymous Bhasme Don and Swastima Khadka as Goddess Durga, the poster also presents Saugat Malla, Rabindra Baniya, Maotse Gurung, Prakash Ghimire and Lokendra Lekhak in various looks.

With Dipendra K Khanal returning as director, Pashupati Prasad 2 explores themes of self-discovery and fight for dignity. According to the makers, the sequel takes an intriguing turn with the entry of a new character into Bhasme's life after the death of Pashupati Prasad.

Actors Khagendra Lamichhane and Barsha Siwakoti are set to have cameo appearances while Aanchal Sharma and Nischal Khadka will be seen in a musical number.

According to Lamichhane, who has also penned the movie's script, the movie is not a conventional follow-up but a meaningful and logical continuation of the story told by the first film, that released to great critical and commercial success in 2016. 

Pashupati Prasad 2 shall feature the cinematography of Krishna Thapa with Niraj Kandel serving as the Director of Photography. Dirgha Khadka edited the film, which is being offered under the Tukee Arts banner. 

The film’s distribution in Nepal is managed by DCN, T-Fox, and Rich Entertainment. Sushma Productions will distribute it in India, and Seven Seas will introduce it to global audiences. The flick is scheduled to hit theatres on Dashain.

Meanwhile, ‘Ek Bhagavad Gita’, another picture starring Karki, also released its official poster on Friday. The poster features Suhana Thapa, Dhiraj Magar and a child artist.

The movie, which is releasing nationwide on September 15, shall depict Dhiraj and Suhana in a romantic setting, with Dhiraj's portrayal suggesting he embodies a character from the Gurung community. Suhana's attire indicates that her character from the Madhesi community. Karki plays a transgender woman.

Jvis&Jvin Shrestha, Kabir Khadka, Sanjog Rasaili, Anurag Kunwar, Rear Rai, Ayushman Thakur, Dheeraj Thakur, Madan Thakur, Ansuman Thakur, Ram Kailash Thakur, Surendra Ray and others are also appearing in the movie. The film, produced by Sunil Kumar Thapa, gives audience an inter-caste love story. Jharna Thapa has written and directed the motion picture. Rajesh Shrestha was in charge of the cinematography, and Mitra D. Gurung edited the film. Bipin Karki’s portrayal of a transgender character has sparked online and offline discussions.

Karki takes centre stage in both the highly anticipated films. Both the films will vividly showcase Karki’s distinctive and versatile character on the silver screen.
