Kathmandu, July 15: Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Purna Bahadur Khadka has pledged to keep his words given to the people during the elections. He said he would keep his promises within five years even when the country's economy is in a difficult situation at present.
The DPM was inaugurating the newly constructed building for the area administration office at Gokulpur of Gurvakot-7 in Surkhet district today.
Claiming that the government was working actively as per the expectation of the people, he said important development projects of Karnali Province had moved ahead despite the adverse economic condition of the country. The government has accorded first priorities to the big road projects in the province including the Karnali Corridor and the Bheri Corridor, according to him.
Construction works to build a modern city on the bank of the Bheri River were going on, and it would be handed over to the new generation as a special gift after completing in 20 years, he said.
Big projects including the national pride as Bheri-Babai diversion multipurpose project, and the Bheri corridor irrigation development project are being enforced, he said. (RSS)
