Man kills self after murdering wife

Ilam, July 7  :  A man has killed self after murdering his wife at Maijogmai Rural Municipality-2 in Ilam district. 

   
Police said that Pitambar Khatiwada, 56, committed suicide after killing his 52-year-old spouse, Radhika. 

   
Superintendent of Police (SP) of Ilam Dilip Kumar Ghimire said Radhika is the first wife of Pitambar.   

 
Ghimire stated that the accident took place at around 10:30 last night and the notice to this was received from the neighbours.    
Currently, the police personnel have reached the site.    

Radhika, with her deep injures in her cheek, was found dead on the spot, SP Ghimire shared.    

Likewise, Pitambar was found dead from hanging in a tree some 100 metres away from the home.    
Police said that further investigations into the case are underway. (RSS)
