By TRN Online, Kathmandu, June 18: Nepal scored 290 runs in 50 overs by losing eight wickets against Zimbabwe at the first match of the ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifier match at the Harare Sports Club on Sunday.
Batting first Nepal set the target of 291 runs to Zimbabwe with the help of two half-centuries hit by Kushal Bhurtel and Aasif Sheikh respectively.
Bhurtel missed his century from just one run hitting 99 runs by playing 95 balls whereas Sheikh scored 66 runs by facing 100 balls. Similarly, Kushal Malla scored 41 runs by playing 42 balls.
From the Zimbabwe side, bowlers Richard Ngarava took 4 wickets by giving 43 runs. Similarly, Wellington Masakadza took 2 wickets.
