By TRN Online, Kathmandu, June 12: The Ministry of Federal Affairs and General
Administration has taken action against 103 employees for their failure to be
present in the office in time.
Upon instruction
from Minister Aman Lal Modi, secretary of the Ministry Dr. Krishna Hari Pushkar
has conducted a cross check of the presence of the employees in the ministry on
Monday.
In the course of
cross check, 103 employees were found not present in the office by 10:15 am, 15
minutes after the start of the office hour.
A red singed has
been placed on the presence record of the employees who were not present by
that time.
Of those who
faced the action include one joint secretary, 12 under-secretary, 36 section
officer, 41 non-gazetteer officer. Some assistant level employees have also
been punished for the lack of punctuality, according to the secretariat of
Minister Modi.
"Our first
priority is to maintain good governance," said Minister Modi, according to
the secretariat, after initiating actions against employees of his ministry,
"We have started to mark red in the presence register of the employees who
do not present in office by 10:15 am and will continue it."
