By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, May 24: Some parts of the hilly areas, including Kathmandu, are likely to receive light to moderate showers on Wednesday due to the western as well as local disturbances.
According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division under the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology (DHM), light rain, thunder, and lightning are likely to occur in a few places in the hilly regions of Koshi Province, Bagmati Province, and Gandaki Province, and in one or two places in Madhes Province and Lumbini Province for another two to three days.
Govinda Jha, a senior meteorologist at the Meteorological Forecasting Division, stated that there will be a chance of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in some places in the hilly areas of the country and a few places in the rest of the country on Wednesday and Thursday. The highest recorded rainfall was 47 mm in Ilam, and Galkot in Baglung district recorded 46.4 mm of rainfall in the last 24 hours until 6:45 PM on Tuesday.
