Karnali assembly session summoned for May 24

By Our Correspondent,Surkhet, May 20: The second session of the Karnali Provincial Assembly has been summoned for May 24. Chief of Karnali Province Tilak Pariyar, called the session of the Provincial Assembly for 3 pm on Wednesday next week. 

There is a constitutional provision that the head of the state calls a meeting of the provincial assembly on the recommendation of the provincial government. 

Secretary of the Provincial Assembly Secretariat Jibaraj Budhathoki confirmed that the second session has been called for May 24. 

This is a budget session where the budget for the next fiscal year 2023/24 will be presented. 

There is a constitutional requirement for the provincial governments to bring the budget by June 1.
