Govt unveiling policies and programmes today

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, May 19: The government is unveiling its annual policies and programmes for the fiscal year 2023/24 on Friday. 

President Ramchandra Paudel will read out the policy document at a joint session of House of Representatives (HoR) and National Assembly (NA) at 4:00 pm on Friday. 

In a HoR session on Thursday, Speaker Devraj Ghimire read out the letter in this regard and directed the entire members to be present in the meeting by 3:45 pm. 

He also directed HoR members to be present in the prescribed dress code and to take their respective seats. 

General Secretary of the Federal Parliament Bharatraj Gautam said President Poudel will address the joint session of the federal parliament at 4:00 PM at the first session of the House and Speaker Poudel will present a proposal to thank the President in its second session at 6:00 pm.  

Vice President Ramsahay Prasad Yadav, the Chief Justice, the Nepal Army Chief and heads of constitutional bodies will be present in the parliament on the occasion. 

The document serves as a roadmap for the government's actions and outlines its vision for the country's development and progress in the coming year.
