17 new cases in 24 hours, active cases dip to 162

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, May 5: 17 new cases (RT-PCR) of COVID-19 have been confirmed on Friday while 57 people recovered from the disease.

In 257 Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests done in the past 24 hours, 17 people were found infected with SARS-CoV-2, informed the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) in its regular update on Friday. 

Currently, there are 162 active cases of COVID-19 across the nation.

So far, 12,031 people have lost their lives due to COVID-19 in Nepal.
