Parliament sessions prorogued

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, April 28: Acting President Ram Sahaya Prasad Yadav has prorogued the current sessions of the federal parliament on the recommendation of the government as per Article 93 (2) of the Constitution.

Issuing a press release President's Office has stated that a cabinet meeting held on Tuesday had recommended acting president Yadav end both parliament sessions from Friday midnight.

"Following the recommendation I have prorogued both sessions of the federal parliament from the Friday midnight," a press release signed by the acting president Yadav read.
