RSP's Wagle leads with 26,827 votes in Tanahun

Tanahun, April 24 :Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP)'s Dr Swarnim Wagle continues to lead the vote count in Tanahun constituency 1.     

As of 10:30 pm today, Dr Wagle is ahead with 26,827 votes against his nearest rival Govinda Bhattarai of Nepali Congress who has got 15,454 votes.     

Similarly, CPN (UML)'s Sarbendra Khanal is following with 7,289 votes.     

Chief Returning Officer Komal Prasad Acharya said that of the total 42 wards, the vote count of 35 wards has been completed so far.     

Out of the total 65,099 votes cast in the constituency under the by-election of the House of Representatives on Sunday, 51,219 votes were counted so far. The constituency has a total of 123,305 eligible voters.     

Ramchandra Paudel vacated the House of Representatives seat after being elected third President of the country.  (RSS)
