Federal civil service Act soon: Minister Sharma

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Apr. 17: Minister for Communication and Information Technology Rekha Sharma has said that the government is preparing to table the federal civil service Act soon.

Minister Sharma said so in the meeting of the National Assembly (NA) held today while responding to the queries raised by lawmakers during discussion on the monitoring and assessment report 2079 of the implementation the annual reports of 2075/076, 2076/077 and 2077/078 of the national concern and coordination committee.

Minister Sharma, also the government spokesperson, said that the government has prioritized the Act and that it was at the final stage of discussion in the Law Ministry. She urged lawmakers for suggestions to refine it so as to make transfer of civil servants better managed.

She expressed her hope that the Act will make provision regarding transfer of civil servants and the duration so that the concern about rapid transfer of employees will be addressed.
