Kathmandu, Apr. 4: Five top leaders of the ruling parties have appealed to the people
to make victorious the common candidates of the ruling coalition in the
by-election for the member of the House of Representatives (HoR).
Issuing a joint
statement on Tuesday, the leaders urged the people to make common candidate of
the ruling parties from Tanahu-1, Chitwan-2 and Bara-2.
The statement is
undersigned by Prime Minister and CPN (Maoist Center) Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal
'Prachanda', Nepali Congress (NC) president Sher Bahadur Deuba, CPN (Unified
Socialist) Chair Madhav Kumar Nepal, Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) Chair Upendra
Yadav and Loktantrik Samajwadi Party Chair Mahanth Thakur.
Govind Bhattarai of
NC from Tanahu-1, Jitnarayan Shrestha of NC from Chitwan-2 and Upendra Yadav of
JSP from Bara-2 are the common candidates of the ruling coalition, according to
the statement.
The by-election
for the HoR member in these three constituencies is slated for April 23.
