FDB to hold short film competition

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Apr. 4: The Film Development Board, Nepal (FDB-N) is all set to organise a short film competition.

The competition will feature films made with the intention of safeguarding and promoting diverse aspects, including original realism,  creativity, social transformation, gender violence, caste discrimination and culture.

According the board, to enter the competition, interested individuals must submit the approved application form to the FDB-N office or email it to fdbnepal@gmail.comby April 23.

The top three films in the competition will be awarded cash prizes, with Rs. 1,50,000, Rs. 1,00,000, and Rs. 75,000 to the first, second, and third  respectively. 

To be eligible for the competition, at least 50 per cent of the participating films must have been shot in Nepal, and 50 per cent  of the filmmakers must be Nepali, informed the board through a notice. 

 According to the board, only films produced within three years from the date of the notification's publication will be considered for participation, and they must have obtained a production license from the Film Development Board-Nepal
