By Siraj Khan, Nepalgunj, March 5: A level-3 ICU has come into operation at a hospital in Nepalgunj.
Managing director of the Nepalgunj-based Western Hospital, Rahul Thapa informed that the level-3 ICU (Intensive Care Unit) which is furnished with 8 beds came to operation to make medical service effective. Now, serious medical cases could be treated in Nepalgunj.
In the ICU, a well-trained dedicated nurse, critical care consultant doctor for each patient will be available.
Chief of the ICU Dr Paras Pandey said that in order to get information of patient, health indicator information system is installed according to the world health organization (WTO) protocol.
The hospital has been getting cooperation from experienced doctors from TU Teaching Hospital, HAMS hospital, Grande hospital.
The hospital has also started the HDU (Highly Dependency Unit) service with six beds. It is also providing dialysis.
