Criminal groups will be booked: PM Prachanda

Kathmandu, March 2 :   Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has expressed his serious concerns to the incidents of attack on Nyasimkhola Hydropower Project taken place in the recent past and pledged that the wrongdoers will be booked.     

Stating to take immediate steps against such attacks, the PM announced to form a probe committee under the leadership a Joint-Secretary at the Home Ministry.     

PM Prachanda said so with a team of Independent Power Producers' Association, Nepal (IPPAN) that visited the PM to draw government's attention.     

A group of criminals had vandalized the Nyasimkhola Hydropower Project developed by Sita Hydropower on February 27 at Jugal Rural Municipality-3 of Sindhupalchok district. The group had vandalized property of the project and misbehaved with the officials.     

The IPPAN has also asked the PM to bring those involved in the vandalism to book. (RSS)
