Baglung, Feb 10 : Delivery of health care services has been affected for lack of a quality building at Bhakunde in Baglung Municipality-10. Construction of the health post building that was initiated seven years ago is still incomplete.
Rachhina Construction Company had
won the tender competition for the construction of the building in 2015 with a
target to complete the construction jobs in 18 months.
However, the company has
failed to accomplish the construction works despite repeated extension of the
deadline. Currently, the company has completed some 90 percent of the
construction works.
For lack of quality building,
health care services in the health post are being carried out from an old
building, which is in the dilapidated condition.
Engineer of Intensive Urban and
Building Construction Project Yogendra Bastakoti said that a notice was issued
some days ago to terminate the contract with the developer company but the
latter has sent a request letter informing to complete the construction by
mid-February. “No decision is made whether to terminate the contract or assign
to carry out the construction work,” Bastakoti added.
The estimated cost of the building
construction is around Rs 17 million. (RSS)
