Newly appointed two ministers of Madhes province government assume office

Mahendranagar (Dhanusha), Jan 27: Two newly appointed ministers of the Madhes provincial government assumed office today.     

They are the Minister for Physical Infrastructure Development, Saroj Kumar Yadav and Minister for Land Management, Agriculture and Cooperatives, Basanta Kushwaha.     

Yadav is also the CPN (UML) Madhes province parliamentary party leader. Kushwaha is the elected Province Assembly member of the Janamat Party.     

Taking charge of his ministry, Minister Yadav said that he would pursue works giving priority to the construction of the Madhesh Highway. He said the Madhesh Highway would be taken as the pride project of Madhesh and aims at expanding the road connectivity in every district and local level in the province for its development.     

Minister Kushwaha said he would carry out work focusing on resolving the problems faced by the farmers. He said he has a plan to implement the 'Farmer Card' in Madhes province to provide various subsidies and facilities to the peasants. (RSS)
