Kathmandu, Jan 15 : Armed Police Force (APF) made a winning start at PM Cup National T-20 Cricket Tournament after registering a seven-wicket comfortable victory over Gandaki Province at Itahari on Saturday.
The departmental side, APF, chased the target of 52 runs with the loss of three wickets in the 8.4 overs in the allocated 20 overs match. Skipper Sita Rana Magar smashed the highest 19 runs in APF's first victory. She scored unbeaten 19 off 22 balls that included two boundaries while Roma Thapa contributed with unbeaten 14 runs for an easy victory for APF.
Shristi Jaisi alone claimed three wickets for Gandaki. Batting first, Gandaki was able to score just 51 runs with the loss of seven wickets in the allocated 20 overs. All-rounder and skipper Shristi Jaisi hit the highest 14 runs off 24 balls but other batters of Gandaki failed to collect double digits.
Suman Bist alone claimed three wickets while Nary Thapa, Sushma Shrestha, skipper Sita Rana Magar and Rajmati Airee took one wicket apiece for the winning team.

Lumbini beat Karnali
Lumbini Province registered their first victory at the ongoing PM Cup National T20 Women's Cricket Tournament after they thrashed Karnali Province by 98 runs
held at Itahari.
Lumbini bowlers dominated the bowling as they packed up Karnali at just 49 runs in the 18.1 overs in the allocated 20 overs match.
Krtika Marasini and Madhu DC claimed three wickets apiece while Sushmita Bhusal grabbed two wickets to register victory for the winning side. Marasini was declared the Player of the match for her remarkable bowling against Karnali.
Batting first, Lumbini scored 147/5 in the allocated 20 overs. Opener Laxmi Chaudhary smashed the highest 33 runs for the winning side. She scored 33 runs off 32 balls while middle order and skipper Saraswati GM scored unbeaten 30 runs off 25 balls and Ashma Pulami Magar made 14 runs off 29 balls for the winning team.
