Kathmandu, Jan 11 : An all-round performance from Raj Nannan helped Biratnagar Super Kings fix the final date with Lumbini All Star at the Nepal T-20 League following a 39-run victory over Janakpur Royals in the qualifiers on Tuesday.
Biratnagar elected to bat first and scored 167 runs losing
six wickets in the allocated 20 overs at TU Cricket Ground, Kirtipur.
Gauranshu Sharma of the USA smashed two fences and two sixes
to top the score with 42 runs off 41 balls. Opener Arjun Saud hit 35 runs,
all-rounder Raj Nannan collected 33 runs off 18 balls and Pakistani all-rounder
Hussain Talat added 31 runs.
Jitendra Mukhiya claimed two wickets for Janakpur.
Janakpur failed to chase the victory target as all of its
batters collapsed in 19.1 overs with 128 runs on the scoreboard.
Keon Joseph of West Indies claimed three wickets while
players of the match Raj Nannan and Nandan Yadav grabbed two wickets each for
the winning side.
West Indies top order batter Chadwick Walton smacked six
fences to chip in with 47-ball 51 for Janakpur.
Skipper Trevon Griffith (34) and Khadak Bohora (14) were the
other batters to score two digits for the losing team.
The final match will be held on Wednesday.
