By Our Correspondent,Sarlahi, Jan. 6: The electricity has arrived for the first time in Sirkalinjor, remote area of Chure in Sarlahi. The locals in Sirkalinjor of Lalbandi Municipality-15 who had been spending nights with the help of traditional lamps are very happy with the arrival of electricity in the settlement.

Due to absence of electricity, the locals had to rely on rainwater for farming. Now, they can use electric motor to transfer the water from Kalinjor Khola to high lands for farming, use mobiles and other devices operated with electricity.

Lalbandi Municipality Mayor Basudev Adhikari, ward chair of Ward No. 15 Gorakh Bahadur Bal and Nepal Electricity Authority Lalbandi Distribution Centre chief Sanjeev Kumar Sah jointly inaugurated the electricity transformer on Thursday.

Ward chair Bal said that almost 350 households could benefit from the electricity service and they could use pumping for irrigation. He added that due to geographical difficulties some areas of the ward are still without electricity. He said that electricity still needed to be expanded to Bahuni Danda, Falake, Dhap Kharka, and Majh Khola areas.

Meanwhile, chief Sah said that they were concerned about the regular distribution of electricity since it would take two hours for the staff to reach the electricity distribution centre. He said that the authority was also ready to increase the capacity according to the demand.

A few days ago, for the first time, electricity was brought to Daini Khola in Lalbandi Municipality-14.
