Training for Orange Farmer

By Sher Bahadur Rai, Okhaldhunga, Jan 4: Spot based rotational training has been conducted for the orange farmers of Siddhicharan Municipality of Okhaldhunga

 The training has been provided to control pest and diseases in orange garden. 

Ward Chairperson of Ward no 12 Umang Shrestha informed that training has been conducted for famers of ward no 12. 

Acting Administrative Officer of Agriculture Knowledge Center ,Okhaldunga Hem Bahadur Ale said that famers are trained for trimming garden, management of manure, controlling of pest, marketing management and 

25 farmers were participated for training. Orange production of Rs 50 million

According to the data of Agriculture Knowledge Centre, production of orange of Rs 50 million in Okhaldunga. 

Economists of Agriculture knowledge Centre Okhaldunga Ganesh Adhikari informed that 850 metric ton orange produced in 267 hectre.

The price of orange varies between Rs 80 to 120 per kg in local market.
