Influx of tourists at Mithila Sagar in New Year

By Bijay Kumar Shah, Dhalkebar, Jan 1: On the occasion of the New Year 2023 Dhanusha district has seen an influx of domestic tourists in Mithila Sagar.

Mithila Sagar, an emerging touristic destination of Madhesh Province has been witnessing domestic tourists and people who arrive to celebrate picnics for a long. 

After the tourist numbers increased due to the occasion of New Year Mithila Conservation Committee has managed beautification, sanitation, Drinking Water and Security arrangements. 

Mithila Sagar is situated three km far from Dhalkebar chowk. Conservation Committee's Official Deb Raj Ghimire has said that more than 200 groups have visited Mithila Sagar for picnics. 

He said that more tourists have visited Mithila Sagar in comparison to last year's New Year.
