14,849 votes invalid in HoR, PA poll in Kailali-3

By Chandani Acharya, Ghodaghodi (Kailali), Nov. 25: Election Office Kailali has informed that a total of 14,849 votes have been found invalid in Kailali-3 in the election of the House of Representatives (HoR) and Provincial Assembly (PA) members held on November 20. 

Polling Officer Laxmi Narayan Dahal has said that 7,514 votes were invalid in the HoR election whereas 7,326 votes were invalid in the PA elections in Kailali-3. 

According to him, out of a total of 1,07659 voters, 63,740 votes were cast in the HoR election where 4,021 votes were invalid. 

Similarly, in the proportional representation of HoR, 4,338 votes were invalid out of 64,148 votes cast. 

In the PA election, First-Past-The-Post electoral system, 1,617 votes were invalid out of 33,926 votes in Kailali-3 'A', and 1,876 votes were invalid out of 30,005 cast votes in 3 'B'.

On the proportional side, for the PA election, 1,993 votes were invalid out of 33,984 cast votes in Kailali-3 'A'.

Likewise, 995 votes were invalid out of 18,308 total cast votes in Kailali-3 'B'.
