By A Staff Reporter, Kathmandu, Nov. 21: Nepali Artistes have, of late, been showing their interest in politics. Actresses Rekha Thapa and Karishma Manandhar and singer Komal Oli have already joined politics. Thapa and Oli are candidates for the House of Representatives (HOR) elections.
Meanwhile, after casting vote on Sunday, actor Rajesh Hamal indicated that he would join politics.
After casting his vote from the polling station at Jannath Smriti Secondary School in Lainchaur, Kathmandu, senior actor Hamal said that Sunday’s election was different from previous elections.
Voters are aware of the country's needs. He said that those who form the government after winning the election should work for the development of the country and for the rights and interests of the people.
Responding to journalists’ question, he hinted that he would join politics from the next election.
“You will see me as a candidate in the upcoming elections,” Hamal said.
