6th NIFF to be held in QFX

Kathmandu, Sept 1 : The Nepal Film and Cultural Foundation, which has been organizing Nepal International Film Festival (NIFF), has signed an agreement with Team Quest for the venue partner for five years targeting the film festival. 

According to the agreement signed on Wednesday by NIFF president KP Pathak and Team Quest general manager Pratish Pandey, the films selected for the festival will be screened at the QFX in Kathmandu, read a press statement issued by the festival organizer. According to KP Pathak, the agreement can be expanded outside Kathmandu in the future. 

 Team Quest director Bhaskar Dhungana said that since NIFF has been a popular international festival in Nepal, its height will increase further because of collaboration between the QFX and NIFF.

NIFF has been organized regularly for the past six years with the slogan of Celebration of World Stories, Nepal International Film Festival. 

The festival organizer informed that applications could be submitted to seven categories including national and international feature films, short films, documentaries, and short animated films for the festival.

 Applications for short films, documentary films, and feature films can be filled under the national competition.

The organizer also informed us that there will be a fee for the international competition, but for the national competition, you can apply for free.

All national and international applications can be submitted through the online platform www.filmfreeway.com/niff2023 till December 25. 

It is also informed that the sixth NIFF 2023 will be held in Kathmandu from March 16 to 20.
