Don't initiate new projects, programmes to influence voters, EC tells governments

Online, Kathmandu, Aug. 20: The Election Commission (EC) has directed all the
three tiers of the government- federal, provincial and local- to not initiate
any new projects and programmes to influence voters and affect the fairness and
impartiality of the election.
Issuing a
press statement on Saturday, the EC made it clear that no activities that
influence the voters should be initiated by the governments when the
preparations for the election slated for November 20 are underway.
