Kathmandu, Aug 19: A one-day solo photo exhibition of photographer Manoj Ratna Shahi concluded at Nepal Police Headquarters, Naxal, on Thursday.
The exhibition organized on the occasion of the 38th anniversary of the Nepal Police Wives Association was inaugurated by Kusum Lata Singh, president of the association.
The exhibition showcased photographs highlighting the culture and heritage of the Kathmandu Valley. It included various photographs of major Jatra like Indrajatra, Sindur Jatra, Bisket Jatra, and Bunga Dhyoo Jatra and festivals celebrated in the valley.
According to photographer Shahi, 50 photographs from his six years collection were showcased in the exhibition. He said that culture and festivals are the unique jewels of the country and they have made Nepal known in the international arena. He stressed that if cultures are promoted internationally, the country could attract more tourists.
