Agriculture Minister monitors Kalimati bazaar

Kathmandu, April 9: Minister for Agriculture and Livestock and Forests and Environment Geeta Chaudhary has carried out on-site monitoring of the Kalimati-based Fruits and Vegetables Market.     

Acting on complaints about poor management of the market, Minister Chaudhary reached Kalimati today to oversee the situation.     

During market monitoring, it was found that other individuals were renting and running shops in the names of licensed businessmen, according to Minister Chaudhary's secretariat.     

In addition, problems such as vegetables reaching consumers without pesticide testing, irregularities in billing, and shops operating without license renewal were found.(RSS)
