Kathmandu, Aug 18: Ambassador of Nepal to Sri Lanka Bashu Dev Mishra on Wednesday presented the letter of credence to President of Sri Lanka Ranil Wickremesinghe.
On the occasion, Ambassador Mishra conveyed the warm greetings and best wishes of President Bidya Devi Bhandari as well as from the people of Nepal for the personal health and happiness of the President of Sri Lanka and continued progress and prosperity of friendly people of Sri Lanka, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA).
The MoFA said Sri Lankan President welcomed Mishra as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Nepal to the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka while receiving the letter of credence of Mishra.
It is said Ambassador Mishra expressed happiness over the state of bilateral relations between Nepal and Sri Lanka and conveyed his commitment to furthering the existing relations to a new height during his tenure.
On the occasion, Minister of Foreign Affairs M.U.M. Ali Sabry, Secretary to the President E M S B Ekanayake and other high ranking officials from the Office of the President and Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Sri Lanka were present, according to the MoFA. (RSS)
